O VMA 2026, premiação que reconhece anualmente os melhores clipes e produções audiovisuais da música, acontecerá neste domingo (27), a partir das 20h30 (horário de Brasília), no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles, EUA.
Este ano, a apresentação do evento ficou a cargo do rapper Snoop Dogg e marcará o retorno oficial do prêmio à cidade californiana pela primeira vez desde 2017 — nos últimos anos, a premiação ocorreu em Nova York.
Responsável por abrir esta edição do VMA, Madonna retornará ao palco do prêmio pela primeira vez desde 2003. A artista também lidera a lista de indicações deste ano, com 13 nomeações. Além dela, a noite também contará com performances de Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey, Gunna, Sienna Spiro e Yung Lean.
Este ano, Taylor Swift é uma das artistas mais esperadas pelos fãs da música. No início da última semana, a organização confirmou que a norte-americana receberá o primeiro MTV VMA Artist Director Honors, honraria criada para reconhecer artistas inovadores cujo trabalho por trás das câmeras ampliou as possibilidades dos videoclipes e contribuiu para o desenvolvimento da narrativa visual.
A banda Nirvana também será homenageada com o cobiçado Video Vanguard Award, e o ícone musical George Michael (1963-2016) será honrado com uma apresentação especial de Raye, Sombr e Teddy Swims.
Representando o Brasil, Anitta foi a única brasileira indicada. A carioca está concorrendo a Melhor Música Latina junto a Shakira, pela canção “Choka Choka”.
Como assistir ao VMA 2026?
A cerimônia está marcada para começar às 20h30 (horário de Brasília) deste domingo (27). A sede do evento será o Peacock Theater, na Califórnia. Para os fãs que quiserem acompanhar a entrega das honrarias, no Brasil, o prêmio será transmitido pela Pluto TV.
A programação do streaming contará com dois canais: um com tradução simultânea (MTV VMA 2026 em Português) e outro com o áudio original (MTV VMA 2026 em Inglês).
