A cerimônia do Gotham Awards aconteceu na última segunda-feira (1º), em Nova York, nos Estados Unidos. Wagner Moura chegou a apresentar uma das categorias da premiação.
A premiação tem objetivo de destacar as melhores produções e profissionais do cinema independente, tanto dos Estados Unidos quanto do resto do mundo.
Nesta edição, o Brasil ficou representado com o filme “O Agente Secreto”, que concorreu nas categorias Melhor Roteiro e Melhor Ator, mas perdeu nas duas.
O grande vencedor da noite foi o longa “Foi Apenas Um Acidente”.
